Chore Charts

Okay, for those of you that don't know, I have OCD when it comes to cleaning my home. I like things done a certain way and I feel I'm the only one that knows how to do do it the way I like it. So then I get in a pickle because I'm really the only person that does the housework. So with some counseling and a couple breakdowns I decided to make a chart chart for my two oldest children. I have to let it go, I know it looks like a lot of chores from my children but there's a reason for my madness. We also have an incentive chart were my kids get points when they are good and do extra chores. For each one of these chores that they do they get a half a point. So these are like bonus things that they can do to earn extra points/money. Hope it works.

Birthday Banner

HEEEELLLLLLLO Everyone, for those that follow my blog, I'm so sorry I've been MIA for 3 months. Life has been happening and I have been in no mood to craft, but I back and SOOOOO ready. I made this this weekend thanks to my SIL's craft day in her ward. I think it came out super cute, I LOVE IT. I really tried to no make it too girly, I think I nailed it. It is made out of fabric, so I have no pattern to share.

Bon Appetit Cover

The RS asked me to make a cover for these little photo book, they are going to make them into cook books and then give to the YW High School Graduates. I think they came up pretty dang good.
These are made for a 5x7 and I just cut the edges off.

4 Generation Poster

Child #2 had to do a Heritage Poster for school, child #1 had to do this to in 2nd grade but I improved #2's. This time I added the flags/symbols of countries or nationalities she is, I'm sure there are more but this is all I could think of for my family, I'm a true mutt. Anyway, she loved it and I love the pictures.

First Day of School 2010 Layout

Preschool Layout

FHE Sign

We moved about 2.5 years ago and I'm FINALLY getting more stuff on my walls and here is one that I made couple years ago before I had my craft blog. My sister-in-law had something like this and I LOVED it. I love the pictures instead of names, I like to see pictures of my family all around my home. Anyway, I just rotate it every Monday and since we only have 5 members in our little family and there are 7 spots I printed two family pictures. The family photos don't rotate, my thought was, we all sing and we all eat treats. I also really love the horseshoe nails, I bought them at Ranch and Home, but you can also buy them online.

Scriptures are Meant to be Read Daily

My church calling is teaching the Beehives in YW and our lesson was on daily scripture reading. On Pinterest I saw this awesome quote/handout that said something along the lines as your Scriptures are like bread for daily use not like cake for special occasions. But since I have one girl that is Allergic two gluten, I changed it up a little bit. And also in my opinion I think you need water more than you need bread so I changed it from Bread to Water and from Cake to Juice.

Scrapbook Layout

In 2010 one of my New Year's Resolutions was to try a new recipe every week and like most resolutions I stopped doing it around the second month. I have however started it up again this year and going strong.

Broken Ankle and 3 Scrapbook Layouts

This morning on my morning jog I fell and broke my left ankle. Above is RIGHT after I broke it.
This is about 20 minutes after.
And this is with my lovely new shoe.
So, now that I HAVE to take it easy for 6 weeks I'll be doing so serious Scrapbooking. And since I'm only 4 years behind I guess this is the best time to get caught up. Above is My daughters, Brothers and Dad's birthday.

Guest Bathroom

Last year we redid the girls/guest bathroom but didn't finish it till this week and I am also LOVE IT!!! I love the tile work in the shower and on the floor, the colors, the wainscoting (one going vertical and the other one going horizontal), a deeper tub, we got rid of that big cabinet above the toilet, and we now have a smaller vanity with sink to make more space. I wish you could see how great this teeny, tiny bathroom, it looks AMAZING.

TV Room, Laundry Room and Small Hallway

Since we moved in 2.5 years ago I've been doing painting jobs on and off. I knew that these three rooms would be the biggest painting project of the whole house since they all connect and I knew that I wanted to do something BIG. After looking around I came up with this and I have to be honest, I LOVE IT!!! It came out really good, now this house is starting to feel more like me and a home.

I am a Child of God

Our Stake Primary Presidency is giving these cute little I'm a child of God mirrors to the primary children. One of the counselors asked me to make the stickers that go on the inside and the back. You can print them off on labels that you can get at Wal-Mart label number 5163. For the PDF templates go here Inside Template and Outside Template.

Daily Nutritional Food Tracker

So just like mostly everyone else in the world, a goal this year is to eat healthier. I already workout 6 days a week, but my eating habits aren’t very good and I’m not getting enough of the healthy foods that are recommended daily. So I came up with the chart below and it really has helped me hold myself accountable and make sure I’m eating my daily doses of Veggies, Fruits, Grains, Dairy and Protein. But the chart below isn’t very cute and I have to print it out every week and forget. So I made the chart above, I printed it off at Costco (of course) , laminated it, and then just check off when I eat something healthy and write down how much water I drank that day with a dry erase marker. At the end of the week I’ll look it over, see how I did, whip it clean and start over.  I made this chart in a 8x11 and ordered it in a 8x12 from Coscto. My lamination sheets are only 9x11.4 or I would have gone a little bigger.
You can buy it here at my Etsy Shop for $2.00.

L's Birthday Invites (Hotel Transylvania)

My little L is turning 8 this month, I can't believe it. We are renting the movie theater here town and watching Hotel Transylvania. Looked for a cute invitation idea, after seeing a few I came up with this, I think they came out pretty cute.

The Plan of Salvation

Next month for YW we will be learning about the Plan of Salvation. Found this poster a couple years ago, changed a few things to it that I thought it needed and had it printed at Costco in a 20x16. For the free PDF file go here.
